The European Conference on Sustainability, Energy & the Environment (ECSEE) is now in its fifth year and is held annually alongside The European Conference on the Social Sciences. Since 2013, around 500 delegates have attended this annual interdisciplinary event, which takes place in the UK each summer.
In 2016, ECSEE/ECSS attracted 141 attendees representing 39 countries – a truly international event. This diversity serves as a wonderful comparative and contrastive resource.
The majority of ECSEE/ECSS conference attendees are university faculty, with 52% holding an academic post. At 32% of the total registered delegates, postgraduate and doctoral students make up the next largest group of attendees.
